CRISIS COMMUNICATION
My effectiveness as a crisis communications counselor reflects the many times elected leaders and clients I have served were thrust into a crisis. Developing effective messaging strategies when trouble arises and addressing media questions while under fire has become second nature for me. My hallmark approach is to remain calm and never lose sight of the big picture, whether I’m crafting a response to multiple media queries or under the sudden glare of TV cameras.

STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION
I help my clients give careful consideration to critical questions that shape a winning communications strategy.

What are we trying to achieve? Who is our audience? What actions do we need to inspire? What is the right message? Where and how shall we deliver this message?

Helping my clients answer these questions lays the foundation for my strategic planning. I then match careful planning with skillful execution. I pride myself on superior quality outcomes, whether it’s a widely published press release, an insightful op-ed that showcases my clients’ thought leadership or a white paper that clearly explains a complex issue.

PUBLIC POLICY DEVELOPMENT
Behind every policy or political discussion in America, whether in a board room, a coffee shop or a living room, is a public policy either reflected in laws and regulations or in the aspirations of advocates seeking to change public policy.

My years of experience as a press secretary and policy advisor make me an effective Sherpa for clients seeking to create a coalition of like-minded advocates or advance a legislative or policy objective.

DISASTER PREPAREDNESS
I’ve worked with many of the nation’s senior emergency managers and public health professionals tackling a range of threats to homeland security and public safety. I’ve used my broad experience and out-of-the-box thinking to develop innovative solutions to vexing problems.
